What's on? Dinner in Ballarat's west

YOU wouldn't normally think to drive to Ballarat's west for dinner but, there are a couple of great restaurants at the top of Sturt Street.

One of them is the Glasshouse Restaurant & Lounge Bar which offers a la carte cuisine and specialises in serving up some of our region’s best seasonal produce. The other thing I love is that they can match their meals with locally produced wines.

I recently gained my full license and each time I've been out for dinner I intend to indulge in a glass of wine and delight in being able to drive home but, unfortunately I haven't had the will power to stop at just the one glass and each time I've polished off an entire bottle and haven't been able to drive home at all!

Tonight is parma night at the Glasshouse and if you're in a competition with your mates to find the best parma in town, be sure not to miss trying out this restaurant.

As for me, I'm cooking tacos at my in-laws and even though the thought of cooking after work sometimes sucks, tacos is my favourite meal - so I can't wait!
