BALLARAT fighters came away from jiu-jitsu competition The Australia Champions Cup with three gold medals and two silver medals last month.
Seven members of the Infinite Mixed Martial Arts club fought in Brisbane on September 22 and 23, earning places to compete at the Pan Pacific championship in November. James Grech, 14, was one of the gold medallists who earnt his victory with a jiu-jitsu armlock called a flying armbar. Kyle Sinclair, 26, and Ryan Patrikeos, 16, were also gold medallists. Lachlan Cove, 8, and Marc Roland, 27, achieved silver medals in their divisions. Tom Bishop and Sam Hayward also performed well.
