GIRL power has taken control at Wendouree.
Five women have assumed positions on the club’s board for the 2012-13 Ballarat Cricket Association season.
Kathryn Lanyon (promotions and communications), Belinda Macdonald (treasurer), Natarsha Williams (junior registrations), Robyn Creelman (junior merchandising) and Ainslee McDougall (junior social co-ordinator) will all play an integral role with the Red Caps during the year.
Wendouree president Ivan Pyke said the women had been a breath of fresh air.
“This is the first year we have developed our junior committee, which we have three of the females involved in and two with the seniors,” Pyke said.
Pyke said the women’s vision and innovation had been good for the club.
“What we do is try and do better every year and no club is any different from that point of view,” he said.
