The 15-year-old won The Courier Classical Ballet Solo at Royal South Street on Saturday.
Her victory in the prestigious event comes after the Ballarat Clarendon College student was accepted into the Australian Ballet School in August.
Alexandra scored 92 points for her performance, with Sophie Pickavance in second place and Reuben Moore in third.
All three students attend the Dance School of Distinction in Ballarat.
“It was really exciting to win,” Alexandra said. “It’s a nice way to finish at South Street because I’ll be going to the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne next year.”
Alexandra, who has been dancing since she was three, said she was hoping to become a dancer with the Australian Ballet.
The Royal South Street Society’s marketing manager Emma Sbardella said there were 25 entries in The Courier Classical Ballet Solo, with one dancer even coming from New Zealand.
“It was a very stellar field,” Ms Sbardella said.
“The standard was very high.”
