A man charged with murdering a man on a South Melbourne street also faces a string of charges from other alleged assaults, including an allegation he reversed a vehicle into another man.

Josef Molfese, 27, spent much of Tuesday's appearance in Melbourne Magistrates Court with the middle finger on his left hand raised in the direction of sketch artists.
He rested his chin on his left hand with his finger up and then extended his arm with a raised finger at the artists, at which point
magistrate Gerard Lethbridge told him not to communicate with anyone in court. The accused also spat on the floor while seated in the dock.
Mr Molfese, 27, is charged with murder over the death of Tung Trinh, who suffered stab wounds when allegedly attacked in Clarendon Street on the night of March 18.
Mr Trinh, 46, was found by emergency services workers on the footpath and was rushed to hospital but died on arrival.
Mr Molfese faces 22 charges including reckless conduct endangering life, after he allegedly reversed a vehicle into a man in Southbank on November 4 last year. He is also charged with stealing that man's $9000 motorcycle.
According to charge sheets released by the court, Mr Molfese also separately assaulted two other men between October 25 last year and March 16, during which time he allegedly stole two cars, one from South Melbourne and one from Southbank.
He is also charged with stealing two motorbikes on November 4 last year and failing to stop after an accident.
Mr Molfese was charged with all offences on Monday. He wouldn't stand when the magistrate asked him to and was remanded in custody to return to court in June.
