The Apocalypse Awards charts a collective fascination and the “horror and “humour” that goes along with it.
Curnow is a previous winner of the prestigious Josephine Ulrick Poetry Prize and his work has appeared in The Rialto, The Maynard, PRISM, Meanjin, Overland, HEAT, Island, and Best Australian Poems.
His previous collections include No Other Life But This, The Ghost Poetry Project, RADAR and The Right Wrong Notes.
The Streaky Bay-born writer will officially launch his book, with cover art by bricolage artist Stephen Ives, this Sunday, April 24 at 2pm at the Art Gallery of Ballarat.
He will also headline Ballarat’s monthly spoken word event, Words Out Loud, this Thursday April 21 at 7pm at Babushka Bar, where he will read from his new collection.
