ANOTHER Tuesday is upon us and another sensational opportunity awaits to go and see the latest flicks for a cheap price.
Cheapskate Tuesdays down at the Regent Cinemas is a path well worn by university students, but it's a great excuse for anyone to get out of the house and enjoy the latest blockbusters.
If your an action and suspense fan, then look no further than Taken 2.
Reprising his role as the star of Taken, Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) must once again draw upon his unique skill-set to track down the people who have one of his family members hostage - this time his ex wife.
The plot follows on from the first film - so to help, here's the basics of the first film; daughter gets kidnapped on holiday to Europe, father gets her back using skills from his CIA past.
It's simple, but it's oh so good! I take it more of the same happens in the sequel.
Session times for Taken 2:
7.15pm and 9.20pm. Running time: 92 minutes.
Another flick which might take your fancy is the time-travelling drama Looper.
Basically the premise is that a hitman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) works for the mob sometime in the future.
The hitman and other "Loopers" like him are employed to dispose of people who are sent from the future. When he recognizes one hit as his future self (Bruce Willis), he naturally hesitates to do the job.
Might be a bit of a thinker, but judging by reviews,. it's certainly worth it.
Session times for Looper:
7.00pm and 9.20pm. Running time: 118 minutes.
