Golden Point, fresh off its breakthrough Ballarat Cricket Association firsts premiership, has reappointed White and Harris to their respective roles.
White will now head into his eighth season as the club’s A-grade captain, while Harris moves into his third as club coach.
Golden Point secretary John Ogilvie said Harris has shown he is able to coach for all age and ability levels - from the youngster just starting out to adding value to some of the elite players of the competition.
“Since taking over the role, Adrian has impressed with his state-of-the-art, well-researched coaching methods, which include meticulously-planned group and individual sessions,” Ogilvie said.
“Adrian’s ability to motivate all players – no matter what grade they play - to take ownership of their own development, and to improve their own game, has been remarkable.”
Ogilvie praised White’s “fantastic exuberance” and “passion” for the captain’s job.
“His enthusiasm rubs off on the other players and is largely the reason we have built what has been quite a strong team under his leadership,” Ogilvie told The Courier.
“He actually works harder at training than any other cricketer I have ever seen, I think.”
Golden Point won its first A-grade flag since 2001-02 by beating former champions Brown Hill in March’s grand final at Eastern Oval.
The Pointies won out over three days of tense battle to make it three premierships for the club’s campaign. The fourths and under-16 firsts also claimed grand final triumphs.
