The former Peter Moody galloper’s reading followed his 12th placing in the group 2 Peter Young Stakes at Caulfield in February.
While under Moody's care, Lidari tested positive to cobalt, resulting in a suspension for the trainer.
Weir also had star galloper Signoff return a positive to ibuprofen, and despite being stripped of the listed Lord Stakes victory, he was not charged by stewards.
Meanwhile, Ballarat Cup-winning trainer Paul Jones is facing a mandatory two-year ban after admitting he gave a peptide to a horse in the middle of last year.
During an inspection of Jones' Stawell stable in February, Racing Victoria's Compliance Assurance Team found four vials of the unregistered TB-1000.
