The awards were hosted by the National Trust of Australia (VIC) – Ballarat Branch and supported by the City of Ballarat.
Mayor Des Hudson officially launched the Heritage Awards, which recognises those in the community who have demonstrated excellence in innovation and the best practice in heritage.
The awards were established in 2011, with the 2016 edition attracting a particularly high quality number of entrants to the Miner’s Tavern.
