They claimed a third game on end with a strong finish getting them home against Oakleigh Chargers by 39 points at Ballarat’s Eureka Stadium on Saturday.
For the second week running the Rebels had to wait longer than coach Gerard FitzGerald would have preferred to get control.
They used far too much handball in the second quarter when kicking with the wind.
‘Our method wasn’t right,” FitzGerald.
He said just as they had a week earlier the Rebels had failed to use the advantage of a wind as they should have.
The ratio was much better in the last term and it showed as the Rebels kicked away with five goals to one.
“We got it right.”
FitzGerald said the boys continued to work on the fundamentals in attack, where he believed the Rebels were yet to show their best.
The Rebels are on three wins and thgree losses.
