The match to be held at Arnolds Creek Recreation Reserve in Melton will act as a lead up to the BFL’s interleague clash with the Western Region Football League interleague side to be held next Saturday.
The current squad of 28 will be trimmed down to 23 players ahead of the clash at Whitten Oval the following week.
The squad features a strong contingent of players from the eastern side of the league, with Sunbury fielding five players, while Bacchus Marsh and Melton both have four representatives.
Interleague coach Tim Beacham said he expected Riddell District to put a speedy, athletic side on the park on Wednesday night.
“When we first started playing we beaten by over 100 points but they’re getting a lot better,” Beacham said. “I’d expect them to play a very light, fast attacking side pretty similar to us.”
He said the side’s outings would provide good opportunities to impress TAC Cup selectors in coming seasons.
