EVEN though the city is already well into the middle of spring, a reminder of the winter long gone is expected for Ballarat today.
An icy blast is forecast to sweep the city from this morning, with top temperatures not expected to peak above 11 degrees.
Yesterday wasn’t much better, with the mercury rising to just 12.2 degrees at 4pm.
Just over 4mm of rain fell on Tuesday night and even more was forecast for last night, with scattered showers sweeping Western Victoria into today.
Weatherzone has predicted an 80 per cent chance of rain for the city today.
A few showers with possible hail are forecast, with winds south to southwesterly at 20 to 35 km/h tending south to southeasterly during the afternoon.
