I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here winner Brendan Fevola and his wife, Alex were left high and dry with other celebrities when the white Chrysler stretch limousine worth $200,000 was stolen about 6.30pm on Wednesday night.

The troubled charity night ended badly for Warne, when a planned nightcap with Brynne Edelsten was interrupted by photographers waiting out the front of her house.

Warne today tweeted: "Brynne then invited me back to her place around 1am for a nightcap, when I arrived, paparazzi were conveniently waiting outside her home to get the pic, coincidence? I left instantly and thought how sad is that!"

The celebrities attended a charity poker night for the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Wednesday at the Sphinx Hotel in Geelong on Wednesday night.

Poker professional Tony Hachem, ex-footballers Billy Brownless, Brendan Fevola and Robert DiPierdomenico, and Geelong captain Joel Selwood were all at the charity event.

Before the poker night Alex and Brendan Fevola, Joe and Tommy Hachem and the owner of the pub, George Ramia, were entertained at Mr Ramia's restaurant, Fishermen's Pier.

Police say the white limousine was stolen from outside the seafood restaurant about 6.30pm when the driver left the car "unattended for a short time" on Eastern Beach Road.

Geelong car hire company Murrell Group had donated two limousines for the charity event.

Owner Daryl Murrell said the driver was returning to the restaurant to pick up the guests after dinner when the limousine was stolen.

"Being such a large vehicle you can't pull up directly out the front," he said.

Mr Murrell said the driver had parked close to the restaurant as it was pouring rain, and briefly walked away from the limousine to collect the guests.

"He's only gone a few metres away from the vehicle to signal he was there, and he's turned around and it was gone."

Mr Murrell said the driver was left devastated. "He's completely shaken by what's happened."

The cars were expected to take part in a red carpet event at the Sphinx later that night.

Fevola and company were instead taken by chauffeur-driven car to the poker event.

Murrell, a family business established in Geelong five decades ago, then went on a social media hunt for the stolen car.

"The help and the assistance we had was absolutely overwhelming," Mr Murrell said, adding the community had helped police track down the stolen car.

Police found the limo about 9pm on Wednesday night in Lara.

Mr Murrell said the vehicle - a state-of-the-art model that had cost his business $200,000 - was a "complete write off".

"There would be nothing in Melbourne that could better that stretch limo."

But he said he was thankful the situation hadn't been worse, adding limousines were not easy to drive and an inexperienced driver could have had a serious collision.

"The most important thing to us is that no one was hurt," he said.

"It could have been so much worse than what took place."
