The Ballarat Eureka Diabetes Support Group is hosting a diabetes evening with special guest presenter Roger Serong on October 11.
Mr Serong has type 1 diabetes, flies aircraft and had to overcome a number of tribunal proceedings in order to keep his license to fly.
He will speak to create awareness and inspire people with diabetes to strive to be their best.
The event will be held at 206 Armstrong Street North in Ballarat.
Those interested are asked to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Entry is $2.
