Children's welfare must take priority

Watching the young girls being taken from their mother was the most distressing television I have ever seen and I can't help but feel these poor kids may now suffer some form of post traumatic stress as a result of the horrific experience they are being forced to endure.

Surely our courts have a responsibility above and beyond the Hague convention to ensure health and welfare takes precedence over everything else.

The only question here is what is best for the kids and it is painfully obvious that abducting them from their mother is not in their best interests.

Has the court placed them in danger? Their own actions imply this may very well be the case.
