TWO teenagers robbed a man of his mobile phone following a dispute on Facebook, a court has heard.
Patrick Craig Meizys, 18, from Delacombe, appeared in the dock of Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday, dressed in a green prison issued tracksuit.
Meizys has already served more than 150 days in custody, but will have to wait until next week to be sentenced.
The court heard Meizys and a woman were at the Central Square Shopping Centre on May 9 this year when they began talking to the 21-year-old male victim about comments left on Facebook the night before.
The victim then walked off and started listening to music on his $800 HTC phone.
Meizys and the woman approached again, this time asking him what he had his headphones connected to, before demanding the device.
Fearing for his safety, the victim handed the phone over, and then pleaded for it to be given back.
Both Meizys and the woman were arrested later that day.
