Headlined by former premier and now mental health advocate Jeff Kennett, Commerce Ballarat’s Business Day Out brought some strong ideas to the table.
Commerce Ballarat Chairman David Wright said Mr Kennett and beyondblue Georgie Harman’s talks had spurred him into action as a manager.
“What I really took from it was that I’m actually going to be proactive, in starting the conservation with my staff (about mental health),” he said.
He said the attendees – ranging from owner-operators to those overseeing 200 employees – would have got something from all the speakers, and highlighted media darling Jason Cunningham’s personal tales.
