Terrianne McConnachy, 25, and her 18-month-old daughter Faith Willetts were last spotted in the Morwell area on Thursday.
Ms McConnachy is described as thin, with medium-length light brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink jumper, track pants and runners.
Faith has short blonde hair and blue eyes. She too was last seen wearing a pink jumper.
Investigators have released a picture of the pair in the hope that someone may recognise them.
