Just ask the boys at Waubra.

The Roos, undefeated at the top of the Central Highlands Football League ladder after five rounds, have tumbled to eighth following back-to-back defeats.

Beaten by Buninyong before the AFL Victoria Community Championships break, Waubra suffered its second-straight loss with a 45-point defeat at the hands of Hepburn on Saturday.

The Roos had key figures Tom Nijam, Nick Aringo, Tim Mullane, Lachie Johns and Alex McPherson among those missing for the home clash with the Burras, and after trailing by just eight points at the final change, were blown away with seven goals to one in the last quarter.

Andy McKay kicked six majors for the victors to be one of their best, while Lincoln Barnes was named the standout for Waubra.

Although eighth, the Roos are two games clear of the ninth-placed Ballan and only four points behind ladder-leaders Beaufort.

The Blues were gallant in their clash with Springbank on Saturday, but were swept aside in the second half to eventually go down by 39 points.

Ballan trailed by just 10 points at the main break, but a blistering display of football saw the Tigers pile on six goals in the third quarter to seal the result.

Elsewhere, the Crows thrashed Rokewood-Corindhap by 121 points to leapfrog Gordon - which beat Learmonth - into top spot on the table.

Other winners in round seven were Bungaree, Creswick, Buninyong, Dunnstown and Daylesford, which beat a Clunes outfit playing under stand-in coach Ryan Hudson-Morgan.
