Basic fleece, blinged-up velour, classic active wear and sport luxe were all the go for Tracky Dack Day to raise awareness and support for sick kids in hospitals across Australia.
Ballarat Specialist School student welfare officer Sarah Falla said it was a fun, easy way for students to get behind a good cause with many able to relate to spending time in hospital with friends and family.
“All the senior kids got really involved and even management went to some important meetings all dacked up,” Ms Falla said.
Tracky Dack Day is an annual fundraiser for TLC for Kids each May, which works fast to provide practical distractions for children. Wearing trackies is a show of solidarity with sick children in hospital, who are often encouraged to change into trackies to feel a little more at ease.
Ballarat Specialist School made a gold coin donation for a comfortable day in class.
