AUSTRALIAN Olympic Committee has issued a one-off blazer for Ballarat’s Jared Tallent for him to wear into Rio. Team blazer linings feature the names of all Australian Olympic gold medallists and were ordered for Rio last year, long before Tallent was promoted in March as rightful 50-kilometre walk winner for the 2012 London Games. Tallent will receive his embroidered team blazer and gold medal in a ceremony in Melbourne on June 17. He enters the Rio Games as defending Olympic champion in August.
