The Eureka Athletic Club member showed he is on target for major honours in the event, which he first contested in 2009, by defending his Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre “Steve Moneghetti” lap of the lake title at the weekend.
Yoa and Courtney Scott, also representing Eureka, claimed the BRAC winter series feature event contested by 146 runners on Saturday.
Scott has now won the “Roseanne Brisbane” lap of the lake six times in a row.
Yoa led from start to finish in 17 minutes, 45 seconds to add to his in 2012, 2013 and 2015 titles.
Jack Holden, of St Kevins, was second in 18:02, with past winner Jack Davies third in 18:18.
Scott dictated the pace early and was never headed in 21:52.
Louise Wood (22:19) was second and 14-year-old Amy Canavan’s (22:35) third.
Wendouree’s Nick Fidler joined the sub-20 minute club with a personal best 19:32 seconds.
The Lake Wendouree 15km road race is the fourth races in the Aths Vic XCR’16 Series.
