The former Golden Point and Red Caps player has replaced Peter Brady in the role and headlines a list of three key appointments at the club.
Cole Roscholler has been retained as Wendouree’s first grade captain, with last season’s recruit Justin Howlett on board as skipper of the seconds team.
Le Lievre, who is level two accredited with the Victorian Institute of Sport and Cricket Australia as a representative coach, has been heavily involved with the junior arm at Wendouree since arriving at the club.
He also has an extensive coaching background with the Ballarat Cricket Association, including the senior Melbourne Country Week team.
Le Lievre said he is “very proud” to take on the role.
“I’ve spoken to Cole and Justin and we’ve started planning for the upcoming season already,” he said.
“It’s an exciting time ahead for the Red Caps and I’m confident we will continue to be competitive at all levels in the BCA.”
Roscholler is now gearing up for his third campaign in charge of the Red Caps and said he was “humbled” to again be trusted with the position.
“I’m really excited about working with Peter and Justin in the season ahead. We all want the same thing - success for the Red Caps and I’m sure Peter‘s experience, cricketing knowledge and innovative approach to the game will help us achieve that,” Roscholler said.
