Leading Senior Constable Travis Johnson said police were appealing to people who may have seen a grey Holden Statesmen travelling northbound on the highway at 11am. A ute and Nissan patrol were travelling southbound when a collision involving the three vehicles occurred.
Police are speaking with a 36-year-old female woman from Meredith who was driving the Statesman. She was taken by ambulance to the Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital with minor injuries.
“At this stage we are asking anyone who may have seen the Statesman to contact police,” Leading Senior Constable Johnson said.
An elderly female passenger of the Nissan Patrol was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The male driver of the ute and his male passenger, both from Lalor, were uninjured in the crash.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
