The Irish recruit landed in Ballarat last Wednesday and had hoped to start in the club’s National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 fixture against Kingston City on Sunday, but a delay in completing all transfer paperwork meant he had to watch on from the sidelines as the Reds suffered a 3-1 defeat on home soil.
Ballarat manager James Robinson told The Courier the 22-year-old had been cleared to the Red Devils on Tuesday.
Robinson said George trained twice with the squad last week and twice so far this week ahead of Saturday’s encounter against Springvale White Eagles at Morshead Park.
George has arrived in Ballarat after a long stint with Scottish Premier League giants Celtic and numerous appearances with Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland junior teams.
