BALLARAT Red Devils are on the hunt for a new coach following the resignation of Brian Shelley.
Shelley steps down from the top job with one year to run on his contract.
The playing coach, who joined the Reds from Ireland in 2011, used Twitter to notify followers of his decision.
"I have resigned as head coach of the Ballarat Red Devils. I want to thank the players for the last two years. Good players and good people!!!" he tweeted this morning.
Haymes Red Devils president Yogan Moodley said the new committee, set to be elected tomorrow, would actively look at signing a new coach.
"Due to the annual general meeting happening tomorrow then the new committee will look forward to getting that done," he said.
