Roller Skate Fit Club is getting people on a roll, teaching skating and doing basic fitness in fun and lively group sessions each week.
Club coach Marcia King said classes were a chance for people who had never skated to learn, or for people who really wanted a chance to skate each week.
“We believe really strongly in promoting fitness, health and well-being in regional Victoria and we think the most fun way to do that is through roller skating,” Ms King said. “The best thing is it won't even feel like boring exercise.”
Ms King said there was a strong community vibe among the group, while gradually building fitness and muscle tone.
The club runs series of eight-week sessions at Doug Dean Stadium in Delacombe. Fees covering skate hire, skate insurance and a qualified coach. Next round starts June 19. Details, email rsk8fitclub@gmail.com.
