Having voted to support Wilkie,Cain, Kennet,Whitlam Fraser and Hawke I guess I have no particular party allegiance.
Peter Shaw's passionate letter makes me wonder what I am missing. It suggests a Liberal Party conspiracy of some sort. Maybe there is, but it hasn't achieved much in recent years.
Catherine King has been MP since 2001 and both state seats have been ALP since 1999. So far as council being a step to any parliament is concerned, I note Geoff Howard was a councillor and mayor.
So far as I can see only Belinda Coates has stated her allegiance. Are we to understand that all the other candidates are closet Liberals?
As I recall some of those Mr Shaw refers to as Liberals stopped the $40 million office block. Maybe we should judge candidates by what they say and do rather that what club they belong to.
