The Papua New Guinea-born artist is emerging as a major player in Australian “future soul”, having even scored gigs at Glastonbury and performed alongside Alicia Keys and John Legend.
Over the past 12 months, Ngaiire’s influence in soul has been cemented, performing at festivals across across the country including One Day Only, The Plot, Falls Festival and Groovin The Moo.
The Sydney-based singer has just released a new single, House on a Rock, the third from her newly-released album.
Blastoma, named after the rare form of cancer she suffered as a child, is her second album and was produced by Paul Mac and Jack Grace.
The former Australian Idol contestant who reached the top 13 in the popular show before coming back as a “wild card” entrant, is currently on tour nationally, stopping in at Ballarat this Friday night.
House on a Rock continues a story of survival against all odds that began with previous singles Once, Diggin and teaser track I Can’t Hear God Anymore.
