The Rebels play third-placed Sandringham Dragons at Eureka Stadium on Saturday, but will be without six players who will be with Vic Country in the national championships.
Jarrod Berry (Horsham Saints), Hugh McCluggage (South Warrnambool), Willem Drew (Koroit), Jarrod Korewha (Koroit), Tom Williamson (Ararat Rats) and Lloyd Meek (North Ballarat/SMW Rovers) will travel to Etihad Stadium tonight to take on South Australia.
North Ballarat Rebels will welcome back key inclusions in Max Scales and Zac Urquhart who both impressed at their respective home clubs.
The Rebels have an opportunity to jump into the top three with a win Saturday afternoon, a stark turnaround from their 0-3 start.
Jarrod Berry will captain the Vic Country side, while his brother Thomas Berry will co-captain the under-16 Vic Country side – the first time brothers have captained the representative team at the same time.
