The fixture against east conference rivals Brunswick City has been shifted away from the hosts’ home venue to a synthetic pitch at Clifton Park because of the wet weather.
Red Devils manager James Robinson didn’t see this as a concern given the fact his team regularly trains on the artificial surface at Morshead Park.
Robinson has revealed experienced duo Josh Romein and Charlie King will be missing from the line-up on Saturday.
Romein has a rib issue, while King spent last Saturday night in hospital with concussion following a knock in the 4-0 defeat at the hands of powerhouse Dandenong Thunder.
That result was the Reds’ fourth-straight defeat and the sixth-consecutive match without a victory.
“We are realistic about where we are at and we need to make sure that we get back on track,” Robinson said.
Saturday’s game is the second in a three-match sequence on the road for the Ballarat side, which travels again next weekend to take on Moreland City.
The Reds are currently sitting in sixth position on the west division table after 17 matches.
