THE temperature may have plummeted, but the spirit at Sarah Martin’s Fight girlie garage sale on Saturday was strong enough to warm any shopper’s heart.

Close to 1000 pieces of clothing filled the racks of the garage sale with a cause.
Funds raised from the sale will go towards paying medical bills and day-to-day costs for mother of two young boys, Sarah Martin, 36, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Organiser Kelly Kosloff, who has been friends with Ms Martin since high school, said this fundraiser had been one of the first ideas of helping the family the group had had. Ms Kosloff was overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.
“A man came up to us – he said he didn’t have any use for women’s clothing … but he donated $50,” Ms Kosloff said.
