IT’S time to dust off the old two wheeler and get ready for Ride2Work day tomorrow – the biggest celebration of cycling in Australia.
To make the journey even more enjoyable, Ballarat riders can join in on a lap around Lake Wendouree, which is scheduled to start from St Patrick’s Point at 7.15am.
It will be followed by a hot breakfast between 7.30am and 8.15am at the same location.
A gold coin donation is requested from those taking part in breakfast, with all funds raised going to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
The event is being put on by FECRI, Ballarat Community Health and the Wendouree Rotary Club.
Details on the Cycle Classic, bike safety and how to book your organisation in for WorkHealth Checks will be available and there will be blood pressure checks.
