Victorian paramedic Belinda Ousley wrote a list of the incidents she attended in her 10-year career to give to WorkCover to try to prove that her work caused her mental illness. Here's part of that list:

  • A toddler who had drowned in an Esky.
  • A house fire in which twins had died.
  • A car explosion where there was a dead person inside.
  • A gas barbecue explosion in front of children.
  • Multiple suicides.
  • Multiple cardiac arrests.
  • Multiple times she had to tell people their loved ones were dead.
