As we are about to vote in our council elections we need to think long and hard about who we vote for.
Our last few councils we have put in have left a lot to be desired, having lost sight of the fact that many basics have not been done as well as could have been, too wrapped up in big-ticket items.
There is no need to state them as all the ratepayers know what has gone on in recent years.
Of course this does raise a rather large question: who is responsible for the large number of blunders that have occurred? Is it council or is it our council officers as our councillors do not appear to have a lot of authority over what is done within Ballarat city area.
Maybe councillors need a little more authority over what is and is not done within their jurisdiction. Consider your vote well.
