The 13-year-old Anita Coutts School of Dance student capped off a successful period of competition by taking the award at the event in Fremantle last week.
One of two Victorian representatives, Mio participated in an adjudicated class as well as performing variations from classical repertoire.
Recently she also won the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge, earning a scholarship to attend next year’s Australian Ballet School Summer Intensive.
She also earned a supreme full scholarship at the Australian Ballet School Inaugural Scholarship awards – earning a full 12-month scholarship to help pursue her dreams.
