The seconds’ one-day competition has been reduced from 11 to six teams.
Napoleons-Sebastopol will be joined by Brighton District, Coburg, Melton, Ringwood and Carlton-Brunswick.
The seconds’ twenty20 season will feature 10 teams: Box Hill, Dandenong, Essendon, Melbourne, Plenty Valley, Prahran, Melton, Brighton District, Carlton-Brunswick and Napoleons-Sebastopol.
The restructure has been led by the formation of a premier reserves competition.
Cricket Victoria chief executive officer Tony Dodemaide said these developments came at a time of unprecedented change and interest in women's cricket.
Napoleons-Sebastopol is Ballarat’s premier senior women’s cricket team, finishing fifth in the one-day and twenty20 competitions last season.
