Meek represented Vic Country in the National AFL Under-18 Championships.
However, the ruckman has been missing for the past three weeks with a shoulder injury.
He has been selected to lead the Rebels’ ruck division as Calder attempts to close the gap.
North Ballarat is fifth – one position and one win ahead of Calder, which it defeated by 59 points in round four.
The Rebels need to keep winning if they are to have chance of bridging the margin to the top four, which offers a double chance in the finals.
As well as Meek, Izaac Johnson has also been recalled by the Rebels, while Cobden’s Trent Reed will make his TAC Cup debut.
Just four home and away games remain, with three at Eureka Stadium for the Rebels.
