The Selkirk Roosters could not consider Mitch Rodd with an ankle injury suffered against Northern Blues last round. His season appears over.
They have also left out first-year defender Josh Webster, while Charlie Lee returns to the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup under-18 competition after being 23rd player for a week.
Webster will make his debut with Redan in the Ballarat Football League.
Jacob Werts has been called up from Learmonth in the CHFL for his second game of the season, and Coby Perry and Ben Lusby have also been recalled.
Perry from Maryborough has played as the 23rd man in the maximum three matches and this appearance is his first as part of the 22.
Lusby returns from East Point in the BFL for his third and last game as 23rd player.
Up to last year, each contest between the Roosters and the Tigers was likened to a derby with the clubs having a part AFL alignment with North Melbourne.
With North Ballarat no longer having a link with the Kangaroos, Werribee has a full alignment with North Melbourne.
Curiously, despite the rivals taking contrasting paths their fortunes have not been too far apart.
While the Roosters have just the two wins, Werribee is only two wins better off.
The Tigers began with a flurry, winning four of their opening five games, but not unlike North Melbourne their season has taken a severe downturn.
Werribee has lost its past seven games.
North Ballarat and Werribee will again play for the Ron Hepburn Shield.
Hepburn was Werribee treasurer for seven years from 1998.
He also had close friends and contacts at North Ballarat, where he had spent a lot of time in his youth.
Hepburn consequently forged a strong bond between the two clubs.
The shield was first played for in 2004.
The Roosters have their name on it five times.
