The Ballarat side was able to jump out of the blocks early and take the lead into the first break, however it was a frustrating second term in which the Rush scored just five points which would ultimately do the damage.
Kilsyth spearheads Jasmine Gill and Stephanie Cumming were just two players who stood up for the hosts in a side where five players scored double figures.
Abbey Wehrung was industrious for the visitors, scoring 20 points while taking four rebounds. Meanwhile Joy Burke was again busy off the backboard, accruing 10 rebounds.
The result makes life tough for the Rush, who still had their sights set on a second place finish in the SEABL’s east conference.
Sitting in fifth, the Rush will have to fend off Bendigo in their last four games if they are to ensure a place in the final four.
