Zumba instructor Larni Marshall, who has been teaching zumba fitness classes for five years, said zumba was like a “calorie-burning dance fitness party”.
“To join in the work-out you just need to be prepared to move,” Ms Marshall said.
“Once everyone hears the the awesome music and feels the vibe and energy, it is almost impossible not to.
“All the time, people tell me ‘I am too uncoordinated, I’m not fit enough, I can’t dance’.
“But zumba isn’t about that. It isn’t a dance class, it’s a party.
“No-one is judged by how well they can dance. Everyone just let’s go and feels the music.
“You seriously will have so much fun that you will not realise you are working out.”
Ms Marshall said the event will be amazing because it will be a room full of women, dedicating their energy and movement towards women who are less fortunate.
“The movement of the dances has a meaning and a purpose.
“It is fantastic for women to come together to dance, eat and laugh in order to empower and support other women.”
The event costs $15 and healthy treats will be provided.
