RHONDA Armstrong is Ballarat's over-60s ladies bowls singles champion after claiming the title with a 21-17 victory over Ann Gull at City Oval Bowls Club.
Armstrong, from Smeaton Bowling Club, made a strong start before Webbcona's Gull evened the match up after the sixth end. On the 23rd scores were level at 16 apiece before Armstrong picked up a three.
On the 26th end Armstrong scored a further two shots to claim the title.
It is Armstrong's second consecutive title after defeating Lyn Maple of Central Wendouree last year. She will now contest the region over-60 title at Victoria Bowling Club on November 1.
