The Strikers were clinical in their 7-2 demolition of fellow top four prospect Eltham last week, and will again receive the home ground advantage this weekend when they take on the Knights. Striker Keryn Walters was instrumental for the Ballarat side, sending three goals past the keeper to register her first scores in Strikers colours.
The Ballarat outfit proved too good when the two sides met earlier in the season, and the Knights have not registered a win in their last five outings.
However the Strikers will have to take to the pitch without defender Holly Williamson, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a hip injury.
While Williamson has averaged just 25 minutes per match over the past month, she was critical during the Strikers’ last fixture with Melbourne in May.
