Marshall has spent time this season in a key defensive role, but has also played in defence and in the ruck in his second year on the Selkirk Roosters’ list.
He will be accompanied at the combine by four North Ballarat Rebels – Lloyd Meek (SMW Rovers), Jarrod Korewha (Koroit), Jamaine Jones (Portland) and Callan Wellings (Trentham).
Meanwhile, new Rebel Cedric Cox from Camperdown will debut for the Roosters against St Kilda-aligned Sandringham at Eureka Stadium on Saturday.
He has been selected on a wing as 23rd player and will play alongside his brother Daniel.
From Halls Creek in northern Western Australia, the Coxes are in their first season with the Roosters and Rebels programs.
Cedric Cox has quickly made an impression, having been invited to the national AFL combine on October 6-9.
He is one of four inclusions for the Roosters. Sam Hooper, who missed last round with concussion, returns with first-year players Gus Cleary and Tom Templeton.
Cedric Cox replaces Glen Coleman as 23rd player, while Bailey Edwards has been left out, and Nic Weightman (concussion) and Ben Lusby (ankle) could not be considered.
Lusby is the latest Rooster to bring down the curtain on his season, with the decision made for him to have ankle surgery.
Xavier Vearing (ankle), Louis Herbert (shoulder), Keegan Mellington (foot) and Mitch Rodd (ankle) have also had season ending injuries.
