Basketball Ballarat elite teams administrator Melissa Thomas said Booker most likely faced a game day fitness test to show he had recovered sufficiently enough from hip trouble.
With play-offs out of reach, the GMHBA Miners will play out their campaign against Canberra at the Minerdome on Sunday at 2pm.
Booker has missed the past three games of what is his third season with Ballarat.
Again as one of the competition’s most potent scorers he has been missed, with the Miners losing two of the fixtures he has sat out.
While Booker is a chance to return, Chris Smith (ankle) and Dyson King-Hawea (ankle) will not suit up.
Although the season has been disappointing, the Miners unearthed two impressive recruits in United States import Ollie Bailey and former Perth Wildcats player Earnest Ross.
Ross has averaged 20.5 points and five assists, while Bailey has been hard-nosed centre with a never-say-die approach.
Canberra is going to be tough, with the Gunners facing a huge weekend as it fights to retain fourth place.
They play Sandringham on Saturday night before heading to Ballarat.
THE Miners and Rush wrap up their seasons with their presentation dinner on Sunday, when the Ray Borner Medal and Robyn Maher Medal are given to the most valuable players award winners.
