So Jeremy and his fellow fighter Rishi Chisholm have joined forces to provide Fighting For Autism classes at their Delacombe gym, Barbarbian Muay Thai.
In fact, Rishi, 19, has become an ambassador for the organisation, which was started by Christian Mitchell in Sydney to help his autistic daughter.
A come and try day will be held on Saturday, September 3 with a time yet to be set.
“Any martial arts is good for kids. But for kids with autism, it gives them an outlet,” Jeremy said.
“They don’t have to compete against anyone and they don’t even have to speak. They just have to punch a bag. There’s no pressure and they can do it on their own.”
Rishi said they would build the classes up for children over time, with ongoing classes held every fortnight.
