BEAUTIFUL sunny weather greeted thousands of people who turned out for Run Ballarat this morning.
The event proved to be more successful than expected with a whopping 4250 people running or walking the unique route throughout the city.
Run Ballarat raised $165,000 which will go towards the Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital children's ward redevelopment.
Duer Yoa was the first to cross the finish line in the 11km run with a time of 35.59 minutes. Steve Moneghetti followed in second place 13 seconds after.
Angela Williams was the first woman to complete the 11km in 40.28 minutes.
Ryan Norman, 15 and Anna Kelly, 18 took out the 6km run.
