Dalwhinnie, Summerfield, Blue Pyrenees Estate, DogRock Winery, Mitchell Harris Wines, Mount Avoca and Taltarni received the accolade.
A five red-star rating indicates an outstanding winery which regularly produces wines of exemplary quality and typicity.
“This marks the second year in a row that we have had seven wines over 90 points, as well as being given a winery rating of five red stars,” Blue Pyrenees Estate chief executive Andrew Koerner said.
Pyrenees Shire chief executive Jim Nolan said all the wineries had several wines scoring above 90, with some over 95, validating the shire’s reputation as a “go-to wine destination”.
