A cross reference of housing prices in the suburb shows the median has increased 2.7 per cent to $375 a week.
Alfredton is central to the city’s growth corridor and has a growing population through new housing estates.
While rents remained relatively stable across the state in the June quarter, family sized properties in a number of regional towns experienced solid rental returns.
The June quarter also delivered good news for investors in Warrnambool. Three-bedroom homes recorded a weekly median rent of $340 – an increase of about three per cent or $10 on the March quarter.
Three-bedroom homes in Hamilton and the Geelong suburb of Corio both recorded rental increases of two per cent.
Rental growth was also recorded in Shepparton with the weekly median rent for two-bedroom units increasing 2.1 per cent over the quarter to $243.
